I teach music to 600 students ranging from grades K-5 at Earl Jenkins Elementary School in Las Vegas, NV. I love sharing my passion for music with my wonderful students everyday. I am asking for musical instruments that will allow me to provide my students with a higher quality musical education.
The fulfillment of this project will provide my students with enough musical instruments to perform, create, and explore music to its fullest extent. Last year, my students and I were at home due to COVID, and many students did not have access to musical instruments. Now that we are back in person, all of my students are very eager to play instruments. However, the instruments I currently have are very limited. Through this project, I am striving to give all my students greater access to musical instruments.
Music is a social and emotional outlet for many of my students. The instruments included in this project will support students by allowing them to express themselves fully through music in my class.
The musical instruments included in this project will last for many years and reach 1000s of current and future students.
