In order to facilitate active discussion based on social emotional needs, students need to feel welcome and safe. These items will allow the students to draw pictures (with the crayons and markers) or build sculptures (using Tegu Magnetic Wooden Blocks and Magna-Tiles) in order to establish rapport and trust. They will be able to talk about their thoughts and feelings as they use these products.
Struggling students will often forget they're talking about heavy subjects when they're actively engaged in fun activities.
Fidget toys, stickers, and other small prizes help a student feel special, wanted, and like they have a safe place to come within the school setting. The air purifier will allow for us all to feel a bit safer in these times of COVID.
