There are different products on my project list. There are books, face shields, desk supplies, and games/materials used for therapy material. The books will help my students with expanding their reading skills, allow them to read books they wouldn't otherwise see, and also help with working on their speech sounds. There are materials for the classroom as a whole, this would help me create a space for them to learn in an environment that is colorful and inviting. There are games added to my project that are helpful with teaching speech and language skills. The materials added help support all the students on my caseload. The students I see all have speech impediment/language delays and it is important to meet all of their needs by using different materials to achieve that. There are an array of items I have added to my wishlist. For instance, the books will serve many purposes (literacy, speech sound development, and the break area). I would like to add a break area which is why I added the chair seat cushion.
COVID has taken too much from the student receptive and expressive development, it would be nice to give back to them with new books, therapy materials "games" and classroom materials. During COVID one of my greatest concerns was their continued development of age-appropriate speech and language skills. The materials I have added to my project wishlist add to my students' success. During distance learning last year the students I saw for speech-language therapy were using online non-tangible materials (books, games, etc.) but this year I hope to add all of that back so that they can enjoy a classroom environment again. I hope to bridge the gap they all have from being taught at home all last
