W.K.6 With guidance and support from adults, explore a variety of digital tools to produce and publish writing, including in collaboration with peers.
Collaboration will be the focus in this kinder writing center. These dedicated Chromebooks will be set up to provide partners a quiet place to come together, collaborate to produce and publish their writing, and use technology to make their stories come alive.
The lack of social exposure that students have had during the past 2 years, coupled with the need for students to be able to access and feel successful and confident with technology makes this the perfect center. Students will be working together with a structured format that allows them to ask and answer questions, do research, create, and publish stories that they can then share with the class and with their parents through digital formats. Learning to have conversations, speaking and listening and interacting will be a main focus in the creative process.
