All the books I have selected are themed books that align with Nevada's kindergarten standards. I like to use themed books to teach science and social studies. Many of the books are emergent readers students can select from a specific theme that interests them and they are able to read independently. I have always wanted a classroom library with many titles my students can select from a particular theme. Having my own sets of books will be helpful as many times I have to check out books from our school library and it is challenging when all our kindergarten teachers need them at the same time.
