History has its eyes on us! These books will help expose my students to diverse books by diverse authors. The books will also help my students learn to manage their big emotions during this historic pandemic time. Please help me to empower the next generation! As an educator, I passionately believe that powerful community lessons can be created through shared reading and read alouds. I chose these books to build knowledge about our world and bring it right into the laps of my elementary students. Currently, my classroom is comprised of grades 1-6. This is a powerful dynamic because the students can learn from each other in both personal and social development. The older students can mentor the younger students and students can model different stages of development.
