The materials I have chosen for my math students will benefit them in focusing on the critical areas of mathematics. These critical areas are understanding of multiplication and division of whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. The students will also need to have a understanding of the use of numbers by writing them interpreting them and expressing them in one sentence or problems.
These mathematical activities and games will allow the students to use real world problems to extend previous understanding of their mathematical operations. It will also help them to develop an understanding for statistical information, some arise and analyze the relationship between the four basic operations. The use of these games will help the students build on and reinforce their understanding of numbers and allow them to recognize when to use the basic operations.
