In music class my students develop music reading skills, work on keeping a steady beat, play melodies and harmonies, and work together as a music ensemble. Instruments provide a fun and engaging way to achieve these content standards.
My students are eager to begin to catch up on all the skills that they missed out on while learning at home over the past year and a half. Additional instruments will ensure a safe and healthy in-person learning environment conducive to student academic development. Also, since instrument playing involves teamwork, while learning valuable music skills, students will develop socially and emotionally as well.
Finally, we can use the instruments for performances for outside family events in order to help promote positivity within our family and community.
