I am requesting sensory items, technology and games which will assist the students with social emotional learning that is needed after math, reading, science, and writing lessons.
Having the items will give my students something to work for. This will make them more comfortable and safe in their new learning environment which is very much a part on motivating them. This makes a big difference in engagement.
The items I picked out for my students will help them to stay focus and completing their work. The fidgets will help students remain calm when they can't focus and/or due to anxiety. The tablet with earbuds will allow us to play relaxing music to aid in having a calming environment. The games are for the students to learn to share, take turns, and to practice good sportsmanship. This project will enrich my students social emotional learning skills which are vital post-covid.
