We need more instruments to offer our students the opportunity to become an active band member. We are trying to build our program since the pandemic restricted our ability to perform in person. Adding more instruments to our band allows students to be a part of something large, something to belong to and something to be proud of. Many of the students in my school are English language learners and being a member of the band program will offer them the opportunity to participate in the middle school experience with their peers.
