Our students are back at school and eager to learn new games and activities during P.E. Unfortunately, they are very limited on what they can do with the new Covid restrictions. Some of these restrictions require students to have their own equipment during each class and/or be disinfected between classes. With more equipment students will be able to do more actives with less restrictions. Also as a new P.E. teacher and our school having a limited budget, we don't have a lot of spending money to buy new equipment to do new activities and kids end up doing many of the same things year after year.
This year I wanted to add a jumping unit and incorporate new throwing and catching games to to our curriculum. Unfortunately, with budget cuts I wasn't able to purchase new equipment. Kids need social interaction and they need to stay activities to live a healthy life style. Please help me provide fun opportunities for my students demonstrate competency in motor skills, coordination and safety needed to perform a variety of physical activities while working together to show sportsmanship and cooperation.
