These resources will increase reading skills for elementary students. At the upper elementary level, students should be reading independently. However, many students told me they read NO books last school year. Sadly, since they were isolated at home, many students did not have access to books.
My students love to select books with their book club members, read independently and together, then have fun discussions with me at our book club table! At the end of every book club meeting, students receive a special sticker to add to their book club folders. This lets them know they accomplished something that week. They are discovering a new love for reading because of our book clubs!
