The books I have selected will hopefully continue to motivate and excite my students to become lifelong readers. The students love literature, and are always grateful for the opportunities to read. The different novels I selected have been chosen with my students and their respective needs in mind. All of them are fourth graders, but most of them are reading far below grade level. In my experience, the best way for the children to increase their reading abilities is to read more, and these novels will continue to help my students do just that! They will also provide me with many teachable moments which I will do my best to take full advantage of. All of my students this year have shown an encouraging interest and passion for reading, and this project will undoubtedly help them continue to make progress in this very important area.
