This class of second graders has not been part of in person small group reading instruction since the spring of their kindergarten year. These materials will help to reintroduce the students’ fundamental social and academic expectations. Small group reading is reflected in NVACS: RF 2.3 a-e, RI2.1-10, RL 2.1-10. The leveled readers and novel sets will allow our teachers to differentiate instruction with new and exciting book titles. The collection will have both fiction and nonfiction titles. Flexible seating will allow students to space the needed amount for safe grouping and learning.
About my class
