Due to our students having 1-to-1 devices as a result from the COVID-19 pandemic, iPads will be given to my students in our E1 classroom in the event our class has to quarantine due to being considered close contacts of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or one of the students in our room has tested positive for COVID-19. Our iPads will also be used for assessments within all grades, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and for closing the progress gap that has occurred due to distance learning for the past 20 months. These iPads have been given to our classroom without any cases... We know that 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders are not the most careful, and as much as I emphasize responsibility in my classroom, an iPad case will help prevent cracks and broken screens on our iPads on their daily trips to and from school.
