By donating to our project, not only will you help improve student classroom participation and keep students focused on the task at hand, you will help my students find and identify text evidence while reading. Finding text evidence when reading text is a difficult task especially for those students that have difficulty focusing, students with learning disabilities as well as problems with reading. With this project, I hope to enable all my students to have the proper tools as well as the correct materials to be able to focus on what is being read and to easily identify, highlight, and demonstrate either on paper by using colored pens, highlighters as well as having the ability to use their individual dry erase boards so that they can have the skills to identify, spell out or write what is being asked of them. By providing the students with these materials, students will be able to focus on what they are reading, identify important details in their text, and be able to quickly identify evidence in the text being read. I will also be able to provide differentiation for every student that has a learning disability or just needs the extra help to focus on the assigned task. The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will give me the opportunity to purchase printable content that is at the reading level of the students in my classroom. I will be purchasing informational text/stories/passages designed towards helping students finding text evidence and improving their comprehension skills. After reading the text the students will use the indicated colors to identify their responses and write out their answers in the corresponding colors.
