Students will learn to design in the Cricut Design Space and operate the Cricut machine to make their ideas a reality. Students will work on following directions, communication, order of steps, problem solving, task analysis, and quality control through this process. The projects created will be sold and/or donated to charitable causes. Data entry, order management, time management, customer service skills, and money management will be areas of focus as well. Students will create t-shirts, stickers, ornaments, and jewelry with motivational messages with an emphasis on Appreciating All Abilities! Students within my program have community work place experiences. The Cricut and the supplies will allow my students to create and experience an in-house employment setting in which I can provide immediate job coaching to improve their employability outcomes post-high school. The development of this business allows work-from-home opportunities by designing projects. This project will provide my students with endless opportunities to improve their employment skills, provide a creative and engaging outlet, and make an impact on the future students in my program.
