Make a donation Ms. Marquis can use on her next classroom project.
We will start this project reading a novel about a young girl who immigrates from South Korea and faces struggles in her new school due to her limited understanding of the cultural differences between her old and new way of life. A new friend gives her a lifesaver at lunch one day which makes all the difference to the young girl.
The items in this donation will provide my students with a hands-on way to showcase their new understanding of empathy and kindness towards others by creating visual reminders for others.
My students will use these supplies to create kindness rocks to be placed around the school and in the community in which they reside. The hopes that whenever a kindness rock is found, it brings a smile to the finder's face.
