These items will uniquely offer a way for my students to be successful in the classroom. Some students have not been able to master the use of a mouse but a tablet helps them do the same lessons that their peers are doing. It allows those who are unable to grip a tool to trace their name with a finger, to choose a picture that shows the letter sound we are saying, or turn the page on a story being read to them online. Some of my students need that just right blanket or sack to help them feel safe or grounded. Being able to bounce or watch bubbles in a bubble timer to calm themselves helps them be ready to learn. Using items to keep their fidgeting hands or fingers busy while allowing their minds to focus on a lesson.
