Trenton Public Schools is a low-income school district where many students worry about where their next meal is going to come from - this makes learning a secondary concern in their lives. Many of these students have never experienced the joy of coming home from school to a tasty snack to eat while they unwind before they do their homework. The snacks I am requesting will be given to the students and these snacks will be stored in the storage cabinet. My goal is to feed my students' bodies so that they are free to feed their minds. Being free to only worry about school is a luxury in this environment and I want to do the best I can to minimize their other concerns.
