Support Mrs. Nagey's classroom with a gift that fosters learning.
My school typically only purchases class sets of 36 novels. This forces the kids to share and the novels are not permitted to leave the classroom for them to read or reread on their own. If they are absent one day in a week, they have no way to catch up on their reading since the books cannot leave the room.
With Covid, sharing novels does not seem like such a great idea since I teach 5 classes a day which means each novel will be touched by 5 different students each day.
I am trying to acquire 180 novels so that each student can check out a novel with me to take to and from school during our unit study. Through family and friends, I have already acquired 100 novels but am still 80 short and hope someone might help so that each child can have their own novel and not have to share.
