Our classroom has old tables that do not have any storage space underneath the tabletop. These seat pockets will go on student chairs and will allow my kindergarteners to rely on personal school supplies rather than communal ones. They will also help to ensure that we follow the social distance guidelines in my classroom. The students will have their literacy and math textbooks as well as school supplies easily available.
The donations to this project will help my five-year-old kindergarteners stay healthy and be organized during COVID-19 pandemic time. Using these seat pockets will allow us to avoid using communal storage spaces for our math and literacy curricula textbooks and workbooks. They will help my kindergarteners stay healthy, learn how to be independent and organized. They will also allow us not to waste our instructional time taking turns to get the needed lesson materials and have social distance.
