We are working hard to have books in our school that students can relate to and connect with. When kids feel included and seen, then they also feel loved and cared about. When kids know that adults tend, they build trust, which helps kids access academics! We need a lot of diverse books to help us do that.
These books will help students feel included and be offered the perspectives of others. When students see characters in books that look like them, they feel connected, the caring adults at school and the community.
Please help us give our students the opportunity to be included and to embrace inclusion for others.
