Proper money management skills and early financial literacy teach kids how to have a good relationship with money, which is an invaluable lifelong skill. We want to instill healthy financial habits early on. Your donation will be used to purchase a Financial Literacy Kit which will provide experience in real-life situations of an economic decision-making process. The tools and supplies in this kit will introduce students to the budgeting and cost-benefit analyses aspects of personal finance.
Through hands-on learning, students will learn how to be financially literate and how to make the best decisions when it comes to money and spending. My students will develop a better understanding of money skills such as counting coins and bills and adding money values. They will practice shopping on a budget and use critical thinking skills to determine needs and wants, saving and spending.
