These books will allow my students to engage in reading a book that they are capable of reading independently and that they want to read due to the high level of interest. After viewing the titles I could imaging which student would love which book. I am always encouraging my students to engage in independent reading, but they do not know where to find a book that they will be interested in and able to read. Many times the interest and ability to not match. These books have a wide variety and would be perfect. Student will be able to sign out the books just like they would at the library. They will engage in reading circles with peers as well as journal writing. This will truly open up a new door for my low level readers and hopefully encourage more reading.
