Our students are returning to a full day of instruction after a year and a half of being online. Many of the students need a snack to make it through the full day. While some families can provide a snack, not all families have those resources. Having classroom snacks available, ensures all students have access. When their bellies are full, it's easier for them to focus on their reading, math, and writing lessons. They have energy for PE, Music, and recess. When they don't have to worry about being hungry, they are actively engaged and able to self regulate.
