The items I chose are materials students will use to increase learning in areas of literacy, math, and science. Typically, teachers take money out of their own salaries to purchase needed items for their classrooms, and I am no different. Just this school year alone (one week so far), I have spent over $300; denying myself a much-needed pair of New Balance (great for standing feet).
In just a week's time, I have noticed how fascinated my students are with hands-on activities. The items I chose will engage them and keep their interest. I will also use the items to create innovative high-quality lessons and activities.
