My class will play learning games that match the standards that each child needs to learn. First, I will test each student to see which academic concepts are missing in his or her knowledge. Next, I will color code my games to match Math and Language standards. Then each student will have individualized colored stickers on his or her name tag. The stickers will correspond to the games that teach the skills each child needs to learn. I had much success with this differentiated strategy last year. I just need to add some more games to make it even better.
