If you looked inside our classroom, you would see that we often use dry-erase markers and erasers. We use these items for our new phonics literacy program and Math computation.
The 3rd graders LOVE that they can write with dry-erase markers on their tables! We don't need to pass out boards, they have plenty of room and it erases easily.
I purchased a lot of supplies that my students didn't have this year. Many students are unable to purchase their own supplies. We have a stash of extra supplies in our office, but items like crayons, markers, and dry-erase markers are often not available.
With new dry-erase markers and erasers, we can all have the same markers. We don't need to spend time looking for markers or getting out paper and pencils because their are not enough to go around. Our district has a policy that if students bring items from home we can't collect them for classroom community use. These items often get lost or damaged. If I bring in supplies, we can use them as a classroom community and keep them in good condition.
I deeply appreciate your consideration to fund my project!
