As a speech therapist, my caseload is filled with students with different needs, interests, and ages but the one thing that they all share is their love for fun, interactive games.
I love to incorporate interactive games to help motivate the students, elicit more speech productions, and work on social skills such as turn-taking and being a good sport. I have also found that using various fidgets and sensory tools help the students increase their concentration and focus in the session. Lastly, the use of social skills books has been a game changer in my sessions. The students are more engaged and retain the information in a more meaningful manner.
