I am requesting frame drums and wand sticks. At my Title I school, I have a very limited budget to build our brand new music program for our K-3 students. This may be the first time that these students get to experiment with a musical instrument.
These instruments will increase my students' practice time and their creative thinking skills, and will connect them to their culture through music.
Most of our students are ethnic minorities with rich musical backgrounds. These drums can connect these students to their diverse cultures including African, Latin, Polynesian, and Asian heritages.
These drums and ribbons will be used on a daily bases, benefiting children for years to come.
