As we return to face to face instruction, many of my students have suffered learning loss. Therefore, my intention is to bring back a year long project which involves interactive journals.
In these journals, students will create maps that demonstrate early exploration and colonization of North America. Students will also create time lines of specific events in history such as the American Revolution and the U.S. Constitution/Bill of Rights. These projects include various tasks like cutting, folding, and gluing but also engages my students, a developmental skill that is needed for my student population.
