I chose to put scissors on there so that we can do projects in class and each student will be able to have his/her own scissors and not have to wait to use a pair. The cardstock is on there so my students have options on what type of project they want to do.
Having these books in my classroom will give students something that they are interested in reading! If I have books my students are interested in, they're more likely to want to read in class than they are if I don't have books they're interested in.
