The classroom rug will give my students a space in our classroom (which is all tile) to play with their friends, as well as create a community during our learning time. We sit on a rug during most of our day, including story time and morning meetings each day. The sand table will give my students a chance to explore different materials while also exercising their motor skills. They will be able to explore different outdoor materials such as sand, rocks, and water as well as different foods such as pumpkins and apples.
