A safe environment that is welcoming allows children to learn at their best. Flexible seating allows children to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times they choose a location in the classroom that works for them. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in keeping them engaged and owning their learning. Everything I have selected will help my students feel in control of their learning, and give them a welcoming, comfortable environment to enjoy during this post-COVID year.
