The items on my list are to help kids learn in a rich environment. I have items to teach science, like insects, animals, microscope and rocks. For math support there is games, shapes, counting and a calendar. For literacy there is letters and alphabet. For social emotional learning I have feelings activities and fidgets. There is also a great need for fine motor skills like games, writing supplies and toys .I also have need for large motor things like ball toss and yoga cards. There are a few things to teach mindfulness and diversity like the books. We try to learn by play in head start. My goal is to make learning fun and close the achievement gap. Our kids come from households with trauma and poverty. Some of these items will help teach them self love and self control. My first goal is to give them a safe and rich environment that will make them feel safe when they are at school.
