The materials in this project are all centered around giving students the chance to learn in an interactive way in the classroom, while still staying safe by following mandated social distancing guidelines. Some of the materials are for students to use during activities and projects, while others are just basic supplies that will give our students the structure they need in the class to feel comfortable and safe in our learning environment.
Many of the materials listed can be used in activities around the classroom to let the students interact with content and practice their skills, while still staying safe. These include the mini white boards and dry-erase markers, the sets of clipboards that students can write on when they don't have access to a table, the poster-sized sticky notes where students can interact with content around the classroom.
Other materials will be used to help keep our social-distanced classroom more structured. For example, our classroom is low on table space for the students due to mandated social distancing guidelines, so we would at least 10 more smaller desks for students who would not have the space to work on. The folders will also be useful for students to take care of and keep track of their own work in our class.
