Because of the pandemic, these supplies are critical to insure engagement this year. It is infeasible to properly clean every glue stick, pair of scissors, colored pencil, etc between classes. So, I chose over the door pocket holders where each students can store their own supplies. This way they will not loose the supplies or use another student's. In science we become scientists by using interactive notebooks to jot down notes, lab discoveries, etc. The glue sticks, notebooks, and scissors will help the students complete these individual interactive notebooks. The other supplies are to help with projects and science labs. Examples of these projects and labs are: creating organs with pipe cleaners, making a human model of the digestive tract, examining biodiversity in an ecosystem with magnifying glasses, and looking at cells through microscopes.
