Flexible seating in the classroom helps with students learning. With transitioning from Virtual Learning where students had more breaks and were able to move back in to a classroom where they are generally expected to stay sedentary most of the day flexible seating allows them to get their wiggles out while still being engaged in learning.
In our classroom I have only two desks. Students are allowed to pick their seat and their desk each week. Generally it would be daily, but with Covid I was approved for weekly. Students love the fact that they have control over their learning style.
This additional flexible seating will help keep these busy Second Graders engaged and on task daily. Thank you for your support from a beginning teacher.
