Teaching with social distancing looks very different than teaching during a regular school year. Coming up with fun learning spaces that adhere to social distancing guidelines is very difficult. This project will allow me to create centers that will allow students to use manipulatives independently and safely. Manipulatives help students learn by allowing them to move from concrete experiences to abstract reasonings. They also help students, think, reason, and solve problems.
Organizing these manipulatives is also a challenge. Usually, these manipulatives can be shared and passed from student to student, from one group to another. However, to keep my students safe I must create individual centers in an organized and neat manner.
