Each material on this list is vital for student success in an inclusion setting and to keep students excited about learning, after a year in distance learning. Fidget materials benefit both general and special education students by providing the students with a way to harness their energy in a supportive way, to keep them focused on their academic success. The selected fidget options provide variety for students who benefit from the tool, as well as interest in utilizing them, as they are unique and colorful.
The stools will be utilized for flexible seating around the classroom as well as our classroom kidney-table for small-group learning. Flexible seating will allow students to have multiple seating space options as we all adjust to learning in a classroom shared by other unique learners. The art supplies will be used for multiple craft projects and units of learning throughout the year; opportunities students were not offered through distance learning that will enrich their education through creative expression.
Various office supplies requested will ensure that both the general and special education teachers have the resources needed to keep the inclusion classroom running smooth. All requested resources will be available for all students within our classroom, both with and without disabilities.
