The COVID-19 pandemic has not been easy on anyone...families, teachers, and especially students.
The various materials requested will help to provide my students with a classroom that is safe, comfortable and academically supportive.
Safety:
The sneeze guards will provide extra barriers between students to help minimize the potential spread of COVID-19 in my classroom. I currently have 18 students sharing 10 tables that sit two students each.
Comfortable:
The wobble stool, bouncy chair, and chair bands will allow my students to move around and get their wiggles out, which actually improves concentration. The bean bag chair will be used to help students "cool off" in our classroom "calming corner."
Academically supportive:
The white board erasers, pentel erasers, and pencil grips will be used during student every day work. The privacy guards will be used to help minimize visual distractions. The book bins will be used to organize our classroom library into more appropriate levels for independent reading. Lastly, the finger puppets and stools will be used during small group work.
