Each item in the project will help students feel at home in the classroom, and provide a safe and caring environment.
Flexible seating offers students the capability to move around the classroom and make choices that meet their individual needs. Studies show that children need to move. Flexible seating allows them to wobble, rock, bounce, sway, or stand which is beneficial to their physical well-being. It also helps to keep their minds alert and focused.
By giving them a choice, students are able to take charge of their own learning.
More often than not, if given a choice as to where or how they want to sit, students will opt to move to non-traditional seating around the classroom as opposed to the traditional chair at an individual desk.
The product that I have selected will help offer my students a variety of seating options. The wobble chairs give my students the opportunity to wiggle and move around if needed while they work and they help to limit distractions to others around them.
I am excited for my students to have the opportunity to take charge of their own learning and be comfortable doing so!
