I am a new Kindergarten teacher in a new classroom and I'm working to set up a calm and organized area for my students to learn. I want my students to walk into our classroom and feel at ease and at home right away.
This project is going to connect our social-emotional needs to our learning. I have blue and green colors throughout the room as calm colors and also to give a sense of being outside and in nature. The meeting rug will tie this in and help us stay connected to one another. The grass mat rug will go in our reading area to give the feel of reading outside and the storage bench will be a place to sit in the reading area as well as store some books.
Any help is appreciated as we focus on our social-emotional development within the learning environment.
