Many 6-8 students who need some positive reinforcement towards their learning behaviors are given grade-inappropriate incentives which are not received well by those students. To be an innovated citizen of 21st-Century technologies, we must incentivize productive learning with those same 21st century technologies. Students will now have opportunities to both learn and earn rewards that stem from 3D-Printing. More so, my 8th grade class will be in charge of this incentive program, treating it as a business where student currency, positive reinforcement checks, is exchanged for filament currency, where students can print from a pre-selected catalog or design their own appropriate 3D construct.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve student motivation towards their academic success, but will increase STEM awareness as they become productive 21st century citizens.
By implementing a technology-based, positive learning behavior incentive, students will become more engaged and focused towards their learning as well as develop a greater curiosity towards STEM and how it is the common thread between their learning and the how the world works around them.
