Last year, I was a remote teacher and this year I am entering back into the classroom and starting my classroom from scratch! As a new teacher at the school, I don't have any of my own furniture. The school is giving what they can, but has limited supplies and got rid of many classroom materials last year as part of their cleaning protocols for COVID. I want to provide flexible seating for my students, as many have attention deficits, and they are so eager to move around and work with different classmates (many of whom they haven't seen in a long time!). The rug and variety of seating will provide my students with options that allow them to move, find a comfortable choice, and still allow for social distancing! I am also hoping for a kidney table as that will give students enough space to spread out, but still meet for small groups鈥攁n essential!
