Students have access to SO MANY online learning tools filled with graphics, music and narratives. How can they possibly access those tools without headphones? Headphones ensure that students can access everything that technology has to offer and engage in their own individual sites and projects without disturbing others. The attached microphones also allow students to add narratives to videos that they create for the classroom.
When students cannot bring their own headphones from home (or forget to bring them to school), they must rely on my supply of cheap dollar-store earbuds. Sometimes, they only feed sound through one ear. Frequently, students complain about them not fitting comfortably and oftentimes choose to work without them . . . but then miss out on working with some special learning tools for that day. Every time students return these earbuds, I have to take the time away from work that they have created in order to properly sanitize them, which in itself is not appealing to students. We hope that you can help us!
