Due to COVID-19, most of my students have had to participate in virtual learning for the 2020-21 school year. Due to economic barriers, most of my students lack the resources at home to fully participate and experience motor opportunities. They do not always have access to many basic toys and academic supplies. For example; puzzles, scissors, stickers, crayons, and glue. All of these small toys and materials build the pre academic and fine motor skills necessary for educational success. With these items, I hope to welcome my students back to a new school year with new learning opportunities! I want them to be excited to be back in the school setting and to learn. I know most of my students have not had the opportunity to experience learning through play or hands-on activities due to COVID-19. While keeping in mind cleaning protocols, these items will allow be to create hundreds of difficulty OT activities to work on the fine motor skills these kiddos have been missing!
