Right now when my students walk into their classroom they are greeted with plain desks and chairs. There is no variety! No excitement! What we need is to move our bodies! I am looking to provide 鈥渇lexible鈥 seating options to all of my students. What this means is I would like to provide my students with a choice of how and where they sit, and to keep them engaged while they are seated. Wobble cushions give students a chance to wiggle (and giggle) while they work and engage physically all while still being in their seats. Not only can wobble cushions move to the floor they can also turn any old boring chair into a more exciting place to sit and are great for students who get fidgety behind a desk.
There are plenty of studies that show that even a little room to move helps students stay focused on their work; I want to let them wiggle and giggle their way to more learning.
