The Choices magazine will be an invaluable tool to help my high school students learn more about skills for life. It will be available in print and digital form should we go remote again in the future. Our budgets don't allow for frills in a small school and sometimes not even the basic needs. A current magazine subscription will help the students learn about current life skills and help struggling readers get more current topics in their hands to read.
This will be a great tool to use in my Nutrition and Wellness class to help the students be healthier through learning more about healthy eating, the importance of exercise, and awareness of good mental health practices.
The magazine can also be used to help struggling readers in my daily reading group be able to read relevant current health and wellness topics.
I have used this magazine before in class and found it very valuable. In the past few years, we have really had to cut back on spending, and there was just not room in my budget for this item. Hopefully, we will get to use it again next school year!
